Morphological, Molecular and Genomic Characterization of Two Inter-Subspecific Hybrids between Olive Cultivars and Olive Subspecies

نویسندگان

چکیده

Two inter-subspecific F1 hybrids have been obtained by crossing olive cultivars (‘Frantoio’ and ‘Coratina’) with pollen donors from subspecies (Olea europaea subsp. cuspidata) to enrich the germplasm of cultivated in southern China. This study aimed investigate characterization morphological traits molecular markers two their parents crosses. The showed a significant difference between genotypes according main discriminative parameters on qualitative quantitative leaf, fruit, endocarp. A set six co-dominant polymorphic simple sequence repeats (SSRs) were used for identification, SSR analysis confirmed that progenies offspring cited based presence parental specific alleles. Three single-copy nuclear loci (SCNL) primer pairs amplification genes after then PCR products sequenced. Sequence alignment effective data total 15 different base sites progenies, which as true inter-specific cuspidata.

Reduction of olive fly, Bactrocera oleae (Rossi, 1790), damage by selecting native and exotic olive cultivars

Olive fly is the most dangerous pest in olive groves worldwide. Therefore the study of the most susceptible and resistant cultivars to olive fly can bring new information to diminish the olive flies harmful impacts. The main goal of the present study is to verify the olfactory response of olive fly to olive volatiles from five native Iranian cultivars (Fishomi, Mari, Rowghani, Shengeh, and Zard...

Characterization of Phenolic Profile and Antioxidant Potential of Some Algerian Olive Oils Cultivars

Background: Olive oil is a source of antioxidants and poses positive effects on human health. The objective of this study was firstly to identify and quantify the phenolics of some Algerian olive oils; secondly, the antioxidant activity of the samples was assessed. Methods: The virgin olive oils used in this study were derived from three Algerian cultivars, including Azeradj, Bouchouk, and Che...

Morphological and molecular characterization of Fusarium spp. associated with olive trees dieback in Tunisia

Dieback and wilting symptoms caused by complex soilborne fungi are nowadays the most serious threatening disease affecting olive trees (Olea europaea) in Tunisia and presumably in many Mediterranean basin countries. Fusarium is one of the important phytopathogenic genera associated with dieback symptoms of olive trees. The objective of the present study was to confirm the pathogenicity of Fusar...

Molecular characterization of olive cultivars using amplified fragment length polymorphism markers.

We sampled six olive cultivars (Tavli Sati, Sati, Gorvela, Sacakli Otur, Butko, and Otur) from Coruh Valley, located in the northeast part of Turkey, and characterized them using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers. Some morphological and biochemical characteristics are also determined. Six AFLP primer combinations were used for molecular characterization and 66 AFLP markers w...
